it was like episode 3x22 all over again, when they kissed and he said in case there is no later, and she was going to tell him she chose him.
They need to kiss again.
I’m already calling what happens in the TVD finale. They graduate even though they haven’t been through a single real day of high school and Elena’s the valedictorian even though she should be failing since she doesn’t give a crap about learning and has spent all 4 seasons whining about her Stefan and Damon feels. Then Elena will proceed to make some ridiculous speech about important life choices even though she’s notorious for never choosing anything. (See Jessica’s speech in Eclipse because I can guarantee Elena’s speech will be exactly the same. She’ll say that you need to make as many mistakes as you can (DAMON!), fall in love A LOT (Stefan, Damon, Matt, Elijah…)) And if Elena isn’t the one to make the speech, it will either be April or Caroline, probably April just so Julie can pretend she gives her screen time, just like Julie pretended to give screen time in 4x07, 4x10, and 4x19. Seriously, why can’t we have a legit speech moment with Stefan talking and Rebekah making a minor speech as well? Usually, there are 2 students who talk during the ceremony. I don’t know what the purpose of the one who isn’t the valedictorian is though. It would just be so much better if Stefan already had this pre-planned speech, but got caught up in the moment and changed it last minute. Just imagine him addressing his classmates and looking down at Elena, Rebekah, and Caroline (Bonnie’s so irrelevant). Then what would make it even better is if Stefan made a subtle hint to the audience about how many times he’s been in school, but how this school experience was still unique. (See Edward’s wedding speech where he says “I’ve been waiting what seems like a very long time to get beyond what I am and with Bella, I feel like I can finally begin,” and he basically admits to everyone he knows that he’s a vampire.) You should also watch Chuck’s speech at Bart and Lily’s wedding and you can tell he changes it in the middle because he puts his note cards down and looks directly at Blair. Damon takes the cure and Elena chooses him solely because he’s a human. Tyler dies. Then we go back to more love triangle BS in season 5 and Elena will never truly choose either of the brothers. She’ll just make a mini decision and flip between them every finale. The season 3 finale was Stefan’s turn. The season 4 finale is Damon’s turn. The season 5 finale is Stefan’s turn and this goes on until the show gets canceled and we never know what her final choice is.
